Support Services
Comprehensive wraparound support that removes barriers and sets participants up for lasting success.
Holistic Approach
More Than Job Training
BridgeWorks recognizes that workforce training alone is not enough to ensure long-term success for returning citizens. Stable employment depends on stable housing, reliable transportation, access to childcare, and resolution of outstanding legal matters.
Every participant receives a needs assessment during enrollment. Based on this assessment, our support services team develops an individualized resource plan that addresses each participant's specific circumstances. Services continue throughout the training period and for six months after program completion.

What We Provide
Six Core Support Areas
Each service area is staffed by dedicated coordinators who work directly with participants and community partners to deliver results.
Housing Assistance
Referrals to transitional housing partners, rental assistance programs, and emergency housing support. We maintain partnerships with five regional housing organizations that prioritize returning citizens.
Transportation
Monthly bus passes, ride-share credits, and coordination with employer partners on transit-friendly shift schedules. In 2025, we distributed over 1,400 bus passes and $38,000 in ride-share credits.
Legal Aid
Pro bono legal clinics for record expungement, fine resolution, driver license reinstatement, and employment-related legal rights. Monthly clinics held on-site at the Training Center.
Childcare
Subsidized childcare slots at three partner centers, emergency childcare referrals, and state subsidy application assistance. Participants with childcare support complete at 12 percentage points higher rates.
Financial Coaching
One-on-one coaching covering budgeting, banking, credit building, tax preparation, and debt management. Average participants build a $500 emergency fund within six months of graduation.
Behavioral Health
Licensed counselors, peer support groups, substance use treatment referrals, crisis intervention, and resilience workshops. All services provided at no cost through two regional counseling partners.
